KPK Opens New Investigation In North Lampung, Checks Witnesses Including The Former Deputy Regent

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted a new investigation regarding the receipt of gratuities in the North Lampung Regency Government. There were a number of parties being questioned, including the former Deputy Regent of North Lampung, Sri Widodo.

However, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has not yet conveyed the details of the case, including the parties designated as suspects in this case.

"Currently, the KPK has not been able to convey the details of the case and the parties that have been named as suspects," said Acting KPK spokesperson for prosecution Ali Fikri in a written statement, Thursday, May 6.

In this case, the KPK conducted witness examinations at the Office of the Lampung Province Representative Office for Finance and Development. Apart from the former Deputy Regent of North Lampung, Sri Widodo, investigators have also investigated a number of parties.

They are the Inspectorate of North Lampung Regency Gunaido Uthama Secretary; retired civil servant Taufik Hidayat; former Secretary of North Lampung Regency for the 2014-2018 period Samsir, MM.

In addition, the KPK also summoned a private party, namely the Director of CV. Trisman Jaya Septo Sugiarto; entrepreneur from CV Alam Sejahtera Abdurahman; and Director of PT Tata Chuby Dede Bastian.

"The investigating team is still working to collect evidence, including summoning and examining several parties as witnesses," he concluded.
