Menkomdigi Discusses Collaboration Of Data Center, Al, And Zero Blank Spot With Singapore
JAKARTA - Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid said that Indonesia opens up opportunities for public-private partnership (PPP) partnership partnerships to expand the development of the National Data Center (PDN).
When receiving the Chairperson of Singapore Telecommunications Limited (Singtel), Lee Theng, Meutya said, the government considers Singapore as one of the regional referrals in AI governance, and welcomes a common strategic view with Singtel.
He assessed that an exclusive approach that only relies on government infrastructure needs to be changed to a collaborative and competitive model.
"We changed the approach, previously PDN was only built by the government, now we will involve the ecosystem, open up public-private partnership opportunities (PPP) to be used as a national digital data center ecosystem," explained Meutya.
In addition to data centers and AI, Meutya Hafid highlighted digital connectivity as a quick priority for the government in overcoming blank spots in the 3T region.
He emphasized the important meaning of the contribution of Telkom, Telkomsel, and Singtel in reaching areas that have not been served.
"One of our quick wins is to create a zero blank spot. We believe close cooperation with Telkomsel and Singtel will accelerate this achievement," he said.
