Ministry Of Culture Achieves WTP, Fadli Zon Explains Efficiency And Commitment To Improvement

JAKARTA The Ministry of Culture's Financial Report for Fiscal Year 2024 won an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the BPK. The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, Fadli Zon, explained this achievement in a Working Meeting with Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives at the Nusantara I Building, Thursday, July 17, 2025.

Fadli was present accompanied by echelon ranks and high ministry officials. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of Commission X Hetifah Sjaifudian and attended by eight factions. The main agenda: evaluation of financial reports and cultural performance.

According to Fadli, this financial report is a realization of the budget when the culture is still under the Ministry of Education and Culture. BPK's audit was conducted on February 3, May 9, 2025.

"This WTP opinion is proof of accountability. All tasks and functions are now being taken over by the new Ministry of Culture," said Fadli.

The data presented shows the realization of spending in 2024 amounting to Rp2.79 trillion or 87.48% of the Rp3.19 trillion ceiling. After the efficiency of Rp357 billion, the absorption rate rose to 98.53%. Meanwhile, the achievement of the Cultural Development Index (IPK) in 2024 was recorded at 57.13 or 91.12% of the 62.70 target.

The PNBP collected by the Directorate General of Culture in 2024 reached Rp31.9 billion from the target of Rp52.4 billion. Fadli underlined the importance of an action plan to improve after the audit. "New bureaucracy must work faster, with more concrete impacts," he said.

Fadli's explanation received the appreciation of all factions. Denny 'Cug' Wahyudi from the PDI-P said that WTP's achievements and budget efficiency were proof of serious work. "The realization of spending reached 98.53%, extraordinary," he said.

A member of the Golkar faction, Karmila Sari, criticized the low utilization of regional museums. "The program's absorption is still at 40-60%. There must be a breakthrough so that the museum becomes a cultural motorcycle," he said.

The meeting also resulted in a number of DPR recommendations: improving the GPA, strengthening internal control, aligning budget data, and improving the governance of PNBP assets and revenues.

Fadli emphasized his commitment to strengthening the cultural position as a pillar of development. "We want the GPA to be higher, the program will have an impact, and governance will be neater," he concluded.
