Minister Of Manpower Ensures HR Readiness Ahead Of The Launch Of The Red And White Kopdes

JAKARTA - Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli ensured the readiness of human resources (HR) for cooperative management ahead of the launch of 103 pilot (mock-up) of the Red and White Village Cooperative (Kopdes/Kel) on July 21, 2025.

Yassierli said the Ministry of Manpower had provided a number of trainings to prospective managers of the Red and White Kopdes, especially those whose cooperatives had been appointed as one of the pilotes.

"We have started training human resources. We have trained online and offline in Surakarta. This is currently underway. This is a collaboration between the Ministry of Cooperatives and the Ministry of Manpower," said the Minister of Manpower.

He said that online and offline training was carried out for two and four days, respectively.

The graduates from this training will later obtain competency certificates related to cooperative management.

Minister of Manpower Yassierli assessed that human resources that are competent in carrying out the governance of the Red and White Village Cooperatives are the spearhead so that one of these priority programs can run successfully.

"This is what we will continue later, so we hope that in terms of human resources, we from the Ministry of Manpower can support it," said Yassierli.

"So that the cooperative can become the center of economic growth in villages and sub-districts, and that part is one of our labor solutions in the future," he added.

Meanwhile, the launch of the Red and White Village Cooperatives program, which was originally scheduled for July 19, 2025, was postponed to July 21, 2025, to ensure full participation from various elements of government and society.

To date, around 81 thousand Kopdes/Kel Merah Putih have been formed, with 77 thousand of them having a cooperative legal entity.

In addition to launching preparations, the government is also making improvements to regulations so that there are no obstacles in Kopdes operations after its launch.

Meanwhile, as many as 103 pilot Kopdes have been operating and spread across 38 provinces and 103 districts.
