Fadli Zon Denies The Naming Of The Garuda 9 Team Inspired By The Gerindra Emblem
JAKARTA - Minister of Culture (Menbud) Fadli Zon denied the naming of the Garuda 9 Team as the initiator of Cultural Day was inspired by the symbol of the Greater Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra).
According to Fadli, this naming is more about seeing the national symbol, namely Garuda Pancasila with the motto Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.
Fadli also emphasized the determination of Cultural Day along with the birth of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.
"Isn't there something higher than Bhinneka Tunggal Ika? That's all, isn't it in the matter of culture? If someone tells me. This has become 1 of 4 pillars that are socialized, including by the MPR, by the DPR, throughout Indonesia," said Fadli at the DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, July 17.
"So I think the findings are extraordinary. Not from me, they are from community figures who are very observant in seeing that Bhinneka Tunggal Ika has never been celebrated, as has the achievement of unity in our cultural diversity," he continued.

Fadli also denied that there were Gerindra politicians affiliated with the Garuda 9 Team. Even if there was, said Fadli, there would be no problem because they are both Indonesian people.
"Nothing. If it's affiliated, why? Where did the PDIP come from, whether it's from NasDem, whether it's from PAN, whether it's from Golkar, there's no problem, it's the community," said the Deputy Chairperson of Gerindra.
"But those who came to me were the Maestro Ketoprak, then from the big family of the Diponegoro route. Then there was Yati Pesek, if I'm not mistaken there was Mrs. Yani Sapto Hudoyo and many more. If you mention it, there are a lot of them," concluded Fadli Zon.
