National Police Chief Denies Investigation Of Death Of Constrained Foreign Ministry Diplomat

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo denied any obstacles in handling the death of the Deputy Expert Diplomat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemenlu) Arya Daru Pangayunan.

According to him, in investigating the cause of the man's death, the National Police, in this case the Polda Metro Jaya, will wait for all the inspection processes to be completed.

"More of our position wants to be more careful," Sigit told reporters, Thursday, July 17.

When the entire examination process is complete, all results will be used as one, so that all facts found in the investigation process can be accounted for.

"Secondly, we also want to wait for all the results to be completed, then everything can be combined and can be accounted to the public," he said.

Currently, the examination process is carried out by a team of forensic doctors and forensic laboratory. From the results of this investigation, it will be used as the basis for drawing conclusions about the cause of death.

"Of course we have to collect everything into one so that later it becomes a conclusion related to the incident, whether it was a criminal incident or another incident," said Sigit.

Previously, the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam said he was still waiting for the autopsy results on Arya Daru Pangayunan's body. It is hoped that new clues will be obtained that can shed light on the case.

In addition, investigators are also still waiting for the process of the results of the pathological examination which will explain the findings from the examination of tissue samples, cells, or body fluids carried out by pathologists to diagnose diseases.

"Currently it is ongoing or investigators are still waiting for the results of the laborative internal organ examination. Then it is also still waiting for the pathological examination process, it is still ongoing," said Ade.

Arya Daru Pangayunan was found dead with his face wrapped in yellow duct tape in the 'Gues House Gondia' indecoth in room 105, Jalan Gondangdia Kecil, No 22, Cikini Village, Menteng District, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, Tuesday, July 8.
