Fadli Zon: Pak Prabowo Doesn't Know About October 17th As A Cultural Day

JAKARTA - Minister of Culture Fadli Zon revealed that President Prabowo Subianto did not know about the determination of Cultural Day to be commemorated every October 17.

Fadli said that until now he had not reported the Kemenbud's decision to Prabowo considering that the president had just returned to his homeland after a visit abroad.

"Pak Prabowo doesn't know yet, yes and I, this is a cultural day about Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. So I haven't reported it to him either because this is a normal problem," said Fadli Zon at the DPR building, Jakarta, Thursday, July 17.

Fadli also denied the assumption that the determination of Cultural Day coincided with the anniversary of Prabowo Subianto. He emphasized that the election on October 17 coincided with the birth of the motto Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.

"And yes, my question was this is Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. So it has nothing to do with Pak Prabowo's birthday," he said.

"So I myself have never discussed it with him. Because this has nothing to do with him, right," continued Fadli Zon.
