Erick Thohir realized that Ole's absence would be a loss for the Indonesian national team. However, he considered problems like this to be normal in football.
However, there is optimism that the striker can return for the Indonesian national team in the Fourth Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in October 2025.

"I don't want our mindset to always be plagued by pessimism. However, yes, we continue to wake up," said Erick.
Meanwhile, regarding the possibility of promoting young players like Jens Raven to the senior team to fill the vacant front lines, the PSSI chairman left it entirely to the coaching team.
"Later, the coach will judge. They will see what the existing talent pool looks like and who can be maximized," he said.
He further added that the depth of the squad is crucial, especially when facing a busy schedule and the risk of injury to players.
"That's why the issue of players' rest time is also in the spotlight at the 2025 Club World Cup. This is part of modern football," he said.
Apart from Jens Raven, PSSI is also aggressively pursuing the naturalization process of Mauro Zijlstra. When finished quickly, the Dutch-Indonesian player can be another option at the forefront of the Indonesian national team.
