KPK Confiscates IDR 3 Billion From Palm Oil Production Former Secretary Of The Supreme Court Nurhadi
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated the production of Nurhadi's palm oil with a value of Rp. 3 billion. This forced effort is to investigate the money laundering crime (TPPU) that ensnared the former Secretary of the Supreme Court (MA).
"So the results of the production were then confiscated by the KPK and for about 6 months this has generated around Rp. 3 billion, which was also confiscated by investigators," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, quoted Thursday, July 17.
Budi said the billions of rupiah in the palm oil land was now stored in the holding account of his institution. As for this case, investigators have confiscated Nurhadi's assets. Among them are apartments, houses to palm oil.
"It is part of the KPK's first step to asset recovery of course," he said.
Previously reported, the KPK again arrested former Supreme Court Secretary Nurhadi. Even though he had just been released from the Sukamiskin Class I Prison, Bandung, West Java after serving a sentence related to bribery and gratification cases.

Nurhadi was sentenced to six years in prison in connection with bribery and gratification cases and was sentenced to a fine of Rp. 500 million, subsidiary to three months in prison.
Even so, Nurhadi was not sentenced to pay compensation of Rp. 83 billion in the Supreme Court decision number: 4147 K/Pid.Sus/2021 dated December 24, 2021. This is because the demands of the KPK prosecutors were not granted by the panel of judges.
