6 Land Sector Looted Social Assistance Cases Donated By KPK To Badung Government

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has donated six parcels of land looted by the COVID-19 social assistance corruption case to the Badung Regency Government, Bali.

Based on information received in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 16 evening, the transfer of assets worth more than Rp26 billion was carried out through the Directorate of Asset Tracking, Management of Evidence and Execution (Labuksi).

The assets have previously gone through an auction process, but have not been successfully sold. According to the provisions, the KPK then handed it over to the local government through a valid and accountable grant scheme.

According to the Director of the Corruption Eradication Commission, Mungki Hadipratikto, this step is a tangible form of use of confiscated goods for the benefit of the community.

"After being handed over, the KPK will monitor to ensure that the assets have changed their names to regional property. We will also ensure that these assets are utilized properly," said Mungki.

Furthermore, Mungki said all land parcels donated were located in Kerobokan Kelod Village, North Kuta District.

The land sector is planned to support the Badung Regency Government's strategic program, namely Sapta Kruya Adi Cipta, including the construction of village creative parks.
