Head of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19, Doni Monardo, explained that initially, the patient did not catch COVID-19, and underwent a public funeral process. However, after a few days it was discovered that the person concerned had contracted COVID-19.

"To prevent it from happening again. All patients who die are treated as COVID-19 patients and after the results are obtained, the Ministry of Health can decide whether it is a positive or negative patient (who died)," said Doni Monardo in his press conference, Monday, April 20. .

Previously, the spokesperson for handling COVID-19, Achmad Yurianto, had also explained the procedure for implementing the positive body for COVID-19. Among them is to ensure that no fluid gets out of the corpse and spreads in the environment.

Where the funeral process for a positive COVID-19 body is that the body must be wrapped in air-tight plastic, put in a crate, then no more than 4 hours, and must be buried immediately. Not to forget that all funeral officials must wear PPE during the process.

Meanwhile, regarding data on patients who were declared dead, on April 20, the government announced that there were eight patients who had died, bringing the total death toll from COVID-19 to 590.

For this case's recovery rate, it has now reached 747 people with the addition of 61 people who have been declared cured, of course after running the test twice and getting two negative results.

Meanwhile, the number of positive cases in Indonesia continues to increase. The government said that from the test results, there were an additional 185 new positive cases. Thus, the total number of positive COVID-19 patients in Indonesia reached 6,760 people.
