Tour De Loksado 2025: Bike, Nature, And Culture Unite In Sport Tourism South Kalimantan
The prestigious annual cycling sporting event, Tour de Loksado, was again held in South Kalimantan as a routine event that became an icon of the sport tourism of this province.
Held by the Tourism Office of South Kalimantan Province, and organized by the EO Shafwah Event Management, took place from 11 to 13 July 2025, with a total challenging distance of 176 kilometers.
With the theme "Bicycles, Nature and Culture", Tour de Loksado invites participants to explore natural beauty and cultural wealth in South Kalimantan. Starting at 0 KM point Banjarmasin City, cyclists will travel to Loksado, Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency, past 2 cities and 4 districts on their route.
A total of 463 participants from various regions in Indonesia participated in this event. They are divided into 6 different racing classes, namely Junior U-19, Master A, Master B, Master C, Men Elite, and Women Open.
The race is divided into two stages: the first stage is a bicycle tour from Banjarmasin to Kandangan, while the second stage is the race according to the class of participants from Kandangan to Loksado.
"This sport tourism event aims to raise the potential for South Kalimantan tourism through sports, as well as promote areas with enchanting natural views and rich local culture," explained South Kalimantan Provincial Secretary H. Muhammad Syarifuddin, M.Pd. in his statement, Wednesday, July 16.

The closing of the event was held at the lively Graha Wisata Amandit with entertainment and medal awards to the winners as a form of appreciation for their achievements throughout the competition.
Tour de Loksado 2025 is not only a sporting event, but also a journey to explore the natural and cultural beauty that is the identity of South Kalimantan. This is proof that sports can become an effective medium in increasing the attractiveness of regional tourism through sport tourism.
