Reasons For The Afternoon Film: Wife Of The Future Chooses Croatia As A Story Background, Matches Jonathan
JAKARTA - The film Sore: The wife of the Future is an Indonesian film that is currently hotly discussed. Not yet a week after the broadcast, this film has reached 522 thousand viewers.
Various things in the film Sore continue to be discussed, including Croatia as the background story. Not many Indonesian films choose Croatia as the background for this country.
Sore: The wife of the Future tells the story of Jonathan (Dion Wiyoko), a photographer who is self-isolating living in Croatia. One day, he wakes up and finds the afternoon (Sheila Dara) present claiming to be the wife of his future
Sheila Dara and Dion Wiyoko also discussed the reasons why director Yandy Laurens chose Croatia as the main background for the Sore story.
"Yandy chooses the location according to the character. Why (Croatia)? To strengthen Jonathan's character," Sheila Dara told VOI during their visit on June 13.
Croatia is if I'm not mistaken he (entered) the top 10 smallest cities in the world. He only has 60 inhabitants, so Jonathan is very suitable to self-isolate in that place," he explained.

Interestingly, Croatia is also not far from Italy, a country that is the background for the series Sore: Wife of the Future. As a result, they feel Croatia is their 'jodoh'.
"Fun fact, Croatia is actually next to Italy, so when I watched the web series again, I was shocked. How come there is a scenery that looks similar even though we shot it in Croatia but there are several parts that somehow resemble the webseries," explained Sheila Dara.
"For the trouble of beautiful scenery, the scenery is different because we shoot in the city a bonus, but Yandy takes advantage so he doesn't take advantage of it with 'Let's take all the landscapes!' added Dion Wiyoko.
Dion said the scene was mostly taken inside the house which is the background for Jonathan's story compared to the scenery in Croatia.
"50% we shoot in the interior, there are a lot of them at Jo's house, so it's not because of filming in Croatia so everything is in Croatia," said Dion Wiyoko.
Meanwhile, the film Sore: Wife of the Future is still showing in Indonesian cinemas.
