Although the government urges people to continue carrying out activities at home, not a few people have to travel outside the home, especially for things that are urgent and sudden.
Goodyear Indonesia, in a written statement, Monday April 20, suggests seven tips when driving outside the house. The point is to minimize being in a crowd and coming into contact with common people or objects.
Before starting your engine, think again about the importance of going outside. Prepare a to-do or buy list so you don't have to linger outside. Prepare debit and credit cards in exchange for cash payments.
Here are tips that you can practice to be healthy in driving:
1. Make sure you use a mask, bring hand sanitizer, wet and dry tissue paper. Also disinfect and wipe the car clean. Shopping bags and plastic bags also need to be prepared.
2. If forced to press a button or trellis in a public place, do not hesitate to use the elbow or a tool. Wrap your finger in tissue paper if necessary, use it once then discard it in place.
3. Do your duty as soon as possible and return home. If you don't have time to wash your hands while you're outside, don't touch your face until you get home. Always remember to implement the protocol for preventing transmission of COVID-19.
4. Pay attention and do PSBB. Limit the number of people in one vehicle. Make sure your driver is also wearing a mask. Empty the driver's side seat, and have the driver's door open slightly. The second passenger sat in the back row.
5. When you get home. Spray disinfectant on a cloth, then apply it to areas that have a high chance of being touched by other people such as door handles, car seats and dashboards.
6. If you have to work from home, make sure the car is clean and ready for emergency use. Turn on the engine, open the car window and turn on the air conditioner for 15 minutes, full internal blower. Then close the window again. Turn off the engine.
7. If there are multiple flashcards, read them first. Who knows there is a tight deadline to have to change oil or periodically inspect batteries and others. After all it's safe. Only then can we remove the positive pole of the battery if you are thinking of not using the vehicle for more than two weeks.
