Pembangunan Serampangan, 21 Perusahaan Di Puncak Disanksi KLH

The Ministry of Environment (KLH) officially imposed sanctions on 21 companies in the Puncak area, Bogor Regency, which allegedly caused flooding in March and July 2025.

The Main Secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Environment Control Agency (BPLH), Rosa Vivien Ratnawati, said the sanctions were given after the KLH team carried out field verification after the floods that occurred on March 2 and July 5'9.

"The total is 8 plus 13 or 21 companies that are subject to sanctions," Vivien said in a media briefing in Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, July 16.

According to him, the violations found include development without environmental permits and activities that have a negative impact on the surrounding ecosystem.

Eight of the companies were proven to have environmental approval overlapping with official documents belonging to PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) I Regional 2. KLH has also ordered the Bogor Regency Government to revoke the environmental permits issued for the eight companies.

In addition, there are 13 other companies that cooperate with operations (KSO) on PTPN I Regional 2 land. KLH provides sanctions in the form of replanting obligations, demolition of illegal buildings, and reporting on the progress of the sanctions implementation.

Four KSO companies are said to have carried out their obligation to replant. However, the rest asked for additional time to carry out the demolition.

"For the 13, we carry out demolition. If it is not obeyed, the government can carry out forced demolition and they still have to carry out replanting," said the Director of KLH Administrative Sanctions, Ari Prasetia.

The government hopes that this sanction will be a deterrent effect and a momentum correction for business actors in disaster-prone areas such as Puncak. The critical carrying capacity cannot continue to be sacrificed for the sake of business purposes alone.
