Receives PPSU Recruitment Extortion Report, DKI DPRD: This Is Zalim!
JAKARTA - Member of Commission D of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Ali Lubis admitted that he received complaints from residents about extortion in the process of recruiting public infrastructure and facilities providers (PPSU) which is now being opened by the DKI Provincial Government.
This was stated in his interruption during a plenary meeting on the submission of the Draft Regional Regulation on Amendments to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Budget for Fiscal Year 2025 which was attended by Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno.
"Yesterday, I had an information, when I recruited PJLP or PPSU yesterday, I received information from the elements under carrying out extortion, Mr. Deputy Governor," said Ali at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Wednesday, July 16.
Therefore, Ali urged the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government, especially the DKI Jakarta Inspectorate, to immediately investigate who the perpetrators of PPSU recruitment extortion and give punishment in accordance with applicable regulations.
This is because the involvement of individuals who extort residents in order to get a job is very detrimental. This also contradicts the claim of the Governor of DKI Jakarta that the PPSU recruitment is transparent.
"We are committing wrongdoing, this is the same as the practice of extortion against the poor. Already in the work is difficult, want to come to work being blackmailed with extortion mode. Please, the Deputy Governor, and the ranks of the provincial government, through the Inspectorate, inspect the field, check these elements. Because this is detrimental to the people of Jakarta," he said.
