After Asking For Additional Budget Of IDR 1.3 Trillion, KPK Pamer Restores State Finances Of Up To IDR 1.85 T During 2022-2024
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) admits that it has succeeded in saving state losses of up to Rp1.85 trillion over the past three years. This amount is called 50 percent of the total budget absorption of Rp3.91 trillion.
"From 2022 to 2024, the KPK recorded that it had restored state finances totaling Rp1.85 trillion. The details are Rp558.4 billion in 2022; Rp539.6 billion in 2023; and Rp753.6 billion in 2024," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Tuesday, July 15.
Budi detailed that the state's financial recovery came from non-tax state revenues (PNBP) as well as the results of the implementation of grants and the determination of the status of use (PSP) for the confiscated goods of the KPK to ministries, institutions, local governments, and other institutions.
This positive trend will certainly continue.
However, the process requires additional budget as stated in a meeting with Commission III of the DPR.
"The KPK proposed is IDR 1.34 trillion," explained Budi.
The addition, continued Budi, will be used for two programs, namely management support of Rp491.3 billion and prevention and prosecution of corruption cases of Rp856.6 billion.
"KPK as a law enforcement agency is committed to continuing to improve the effectiveness of eradicating corruption, both through the duties and functions of prosecution, prevention, education, and coordination of supervision," he said.
"Thus law enforcement against corruption is not only to provide a deterrent effect to the perpetrators but also to increase the recovery of state finances. Meanwhile, through prevention efforts, it aims to mitigate and prevent corruption, which can result in state financial losses," continued Budi.

As previously reported, the KPK requested an additional budget of Rp1.3 trillion in a meeting with Commission III of the DPR which was held at the DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta on Thursday 10 July. Initially, he explained that the KPK received an indicative ceiling allocation of Rp878.04 billion based on a joint letter from the Minister of Finance and the Minister of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency.
"The KPK indicative ceiling for Fiscal Year 2026 has decreased by Rp359.4 billion or decreased by 29 percent compared to DIPA for the 2025 fiscal year," said Setyo in a joint meeting with Commission III of the DPR, Thursday, July 10.
Setyo continued, the indicative ceiling allocation of Rp878.04 billion was all all allocated for management support programs that included some basic needs such as salaries and allowances, as well as office operations.
"Meanwhile, the budget for the implementation of the duties and authorities of the KPK in the corruption case prevention and prosecution program has not yet received a budget allocation or Rp. 0," he said.
"For this reason, we propose an additional budget of Rp1.34 trillion for two programs, namely in the management support program, we need a budget of Rp1.36 trillion which has been allocated in an indicative ceiling of Rp878 billion, so that there is a budget shortage of Rp491.3 billion," said Setyo.
