Mandatory Update, Microsoft Stop Adds New Features To Office In Windows 10
JAKARTA Microsoft will stop adding new features to the Office (Microsoft 365) application for Windows 10 users. The addition of this feature will officially take effect in August next year.
Despite not getting a new feature, Microsotf is committed to continuing to launch security updates until October 2028. Although the new feature support will be implemented in August 2026, the termination of this feature will be carried out in stages.
This policy will be felt by all Microsoft 365 subscribers, both Personal and Family. According to The Verge report, support for this new feature will also be stopped for Current Channel users in business circles.
Microsoft will also stop adding new features to Office for monthly company channel users. This policy will be implemented a few months longer, namely on October 13 next year.

For users of semi-year company channels, the addition of new features will be discontinued on January 12, 2027. Basically, all Windows 10 users will lose access to new features from 2026 to 2028.
Therefore, users are expected to switch to a newer version of Windows, based on Windows 11. Given that Windows 10 is quite old, this operating system (OS) life will end on October 14 this year.
This discontinuation is not surprising because Microsoft is trying to encourage its users to switch to Windows 11 for a long time. After the number of Windows 11 users overtook Windows 10, Microsoft began limiting its support one by one.
