Bentley To Launch Its First Electric SUV In 2026, Targeting Urban Segment

JAKARTA - Luxury car manufacturer Bentley is reportedly planning to launch its first electric vehicle, scheduled for launch in late 2026.

According to Drive, Tuesday, July 15, the brand's first electric vehicle will target the Urban SUV segment, measuring less than five meters in length, making it smaller than the current Bentayga SUV.

At less than five meters long, the new model will be shorter than the current Bentayga, which measures 5,125 mm in length.

The SUV will be the first in a growing range of electric vehicles, and the British luxury brand will launch it as the company promises to launch a fully electric vehicle fleet by 2035.

Further details regarding the Urban SUV are still unknown, but it is in line with the company's stated goal of introducing electrified vehicles.

As is known, Bentley's pledge to transition fully to electric vehicles was recently pushed back from 2030 to 2035, as the company considers hybrids a key powertrain technology for the next decade, amid changing demand and regulatory requirements.

Presenting an Exciting Concept

Bentley Motors has also presented its latest luxury vision concept at its new design studio, which officially opened for the first time this week. The EXP 15 concept represents Bentley's design vision for the future, drawing inspiration from its early 20th-century Grand Tourer heritage and interpreting it in a thoroughly modern, 21st-century way.

While not intended for production or sale, the EXP 15 also hints at future Bentley designs, including its upcoming first electric car.
