Hugo Ekitike Ready To Move To Newcastle With An 80 Million Euros Of Banderol, Can Break The Record
JAKARTA - Newcastle United are close to finalizing an 80 million euro deal for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike.
According to ESPN's report, Ekitike's agent, Ali Barat, is currently in Newcastle to finalize some of the details.
The French striker's recruitment will break the club's record transfer after Alexander Isak's arrival worth 70 million euros three seasons ago.
Personal requirements have been agreed with Ekitike for a five-year contract and the 23-year-old is ready to undergo a medical test. His former club, Paris Saint-Germain, will earn 20 percent of the transfer fee.

Newcastle's manager, Eddie Howe, is looking for a striker to play with Isak. He believes Ekitike will be a great partner for the Swedish star up front.
This recruitment also doesn't mean Isak will leave The Magpies.
Meanwhile, Ekitike had a brilliant season in Germany in the 2024/2025 season scoring 22 goals and 12 assists in 48 matches in all competitions.
He established a neat partnership with Omar Marmoush who finally moved to Manchester City in January 2025.
Despite performing brilliantly for the U-21 French National Team, he has not been summoned to the senior team by Didier Deschamps.
Ekitike hopes to play in the Premier League and Champions League with Newcastle will help him get a call from Les Bleus.
