Without Drama, Nugie Reveals Simple Riders Before Performing
JAKARTA - Soloist who is also a member of The Dance Company, Nugie, admitted that he never had excessive riders submitted to concert organizers or promoters.
Having had a career in the music industry since the mid-1990s, Katon Bagaskara's younger brother said the request he always asked for was room for smoking before going on stage.
"Oh, I never had a crucial record of riders. What is certain is that one thing that must be provided with the committee is the smoke area. That's all, it's done," Nugie told the media crew in Kemang, South Jakarta, Monday, July 14.
"If you don't have an air conditioner, it's like a place, there's no problem for me, the important thing is that there is a smoke area and it can be alone, it's not crowded," he added.
The reason is, the 53-year-old musician needs a room to stay in contact before a gig. Even that request is not required to have complete facilities.

"Yes, for me, it's just my riders. It's easy. So, the committees don't have to be complicated when they call me, the important thing is that there are smoke areas and I'm not fussy about the others and I can drink coffee. That's it," he said again.
The same thing was also applied when appearing with The Dance Company Ariyo Wahab, Baim, and Pongki No excessive riders were asked to the organizers.
Even then I brought it to this band. The important thing is, basically everything is accommodated, like Baim has snacks, Pongki has fruit, Ariyo has drinks, I also have like that. Each of us, the most important thing is first, not strange needs. Don't ask for something that can't be done," he said.
"If it's important for us, 'Oh, instead of getting away from the stage, looking for a smoking area, because I'm lazy all the way looking for it, I have to run to the stage, so I just ask for a place as close as possible to smoke the area. That's right, if it's weird, I think it depends on them," he concluded.
