DKI Provincial Government Strictly Monitors MPLS, Prevents Perpeloncoan And Bullying At Schools

JAKARTA - The new academic year 2025/2026 starts on Monday, July 14, 2025. Students have just started the School Environment Recognition Period (MPLS) this week.

Deputy Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Office, Sarjoko, revealed that his party is starting to carry out action plans to monitor potential cybercoup or bullying during MPLS in schools.

"In order to create a safe, comfortable, and free school environment free from violence during the implementation of the MPLS, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Education Office has established strategic steps," Sarjoko told reporters, Tuesday, July 14.

All levels of the Education Office, ranging from Echelon II, III, IV, to civil servant and non-civil servant staff, continued Sarjoko, carried out direct monitoring of the implementation of MPLS activities.

"This monitoring activity will be carried out from 14 to 18 July 2025, with the aim of ensuring cleanliness, comfort, and especially the safety of the school environment for all new students," he explained.

In addition, each education unit is claimed to have a team to prevent and deal with violence.

the team functions to protect every school resident from the potential for violence; make preventive and responsive efforts to various forms of violence; to build a safe and free educational environment from bullying, discrimination, and intolerance.

"Through these steps, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Education Office is committed to realizing a process of inducting, fun, and upholding human values and justice for all students," added Sarjoko.
