Collaborating With KP2MI, Ministry Of Manpower Optimizes Job Opportunities In LN

The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) and the Ministry of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (KP2MI) signed a memorandum of understanding today, Monday, July 14.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Minister of Manpower Yassierli and Minister of P2MI Abdul Kadir Karding.

"This is our proof from our Red and White cabinet that we are united, we are in the same team. Because the Ministry of Manpower also has a cooperation program with the Ministry of Cooperatives and the Ministry of Tourism regarding human resource development," he said, Monday, July 14.

According to Yassierli, this memorandum of understanding is a form of the Ministry of Manpower's commitment to strengthen collaboration with KP2MI in accelerating the transition and ensuring better protection for Indonesian migrant workers.

Yassierli said the Ministry of Manpower and KP2MI have the responsibility to complement each other and must work together to create a safe and competitive labor ecosystem in the global arena.

"The Ministry of Manpower will focus on improving workers' competence, while KP2MI will ensure that the policy of protecting migrant workers goes well," he said.

Yassierli added that the community has high hopes for the opening of employment opportunities and the solution is a joint task across ministries.

"Today, from KP2MI, one of the solutions is to optimize the opportunity to work abroad. For the Ministry of Manpower, this is a priority, we will support our beloved younger brother (KP2MI-ed)," he said.

Yassierli believes that through the synergy of the Ministry of Manpower-KP2MI, Indonesia can create workers not only ready to use but can also contribute significantly to the global economy.
