In his remarks, Saifullah Yusuf emphasized that the People's School was President Prabowo Subianto's idea which was realized with the relevant ministries and other strategic partners.

This school is presented to break the chain of intergenerational poverty and expand access to education for children from extreme poor and poor families.

"The purpose of the People's School is to provide quality education for children who have been left behind. There should be no more children who drop out of school or have the potential to not receive education," said Saifullah.

He added that the government is committed to presenting superior educational facilities, as well as building children's confidence that they are equal and empowered.

As a form of support, Bogor Mayor Dedie A. Rachim symbolically handed over the field service uniforms to students from Bogor City.

Each People's School student also receives eight sets of uniform equipment, ranging from alma mater suits, official uniforms, batik uniforms, sports clothes, to laboratory suits.

Dedie stated that the Bogor City Government is ready to support the implementation of the People's School, including providing land for the construction of permanent facilities.

"Hopefully, there will be no more children in the city of Bogor who are trapped in the cycle of poverty due to limited access to education," he said.

People's Schools adopt a free boarding school system from elementary to high school levels. Formal learning is done during the day, while character strengthening takes place at night.

This system is also supported by a digital-based Learning Management System to reach students in remote areas.
