The First Day Of School, MBG Program Reaches 6.1 Million Beneficiaries

This was conveyed by the BGN Special Staff, Redy Hendra Gunawan when giving a statement on the MBG Program Weekly Update via the official BGN YouTube channel, Monday, July 14.

"The total number of beneficiaries distributed by the National Nutrition Agency is 6.1 million and this involves around 80,000 direct workers, as well as around 5,200 MSMEs, cooperatives, and BUMDes," he explained.

Redy added, as many as 1,998 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) have also been operational throughout Indonesia. In addition, this program also involves 80,000 direct workers, as well as more than 5,200 MSME actors, cooperatives, and BUMDes as part of the implementation ecosystem.

"Today, the National Nutrition Agency has operated a total of 1,998 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units throughout Indonesia, including those in West Jakarta. Today, all SPPG are operating because this is the first day students enter school," he said.

Despite showing significant achievements, Redy acknowledged that the implementation of the program in the last six months still had shortcomings. He said that BGN was open to all forms of criticism and input for the sake of improving the program.

"In the implementation of the Free Nutrition Eating Program, we realize that there are certainly many shortcomings. Therefore, the National Nutrition Agency is very open to criticism and input," he said.

He also invited various levels of society to play an active role in providing suggestions for future improvements. As a form of transparency and openness, BGN has opened an official complaint channel through the bgn.lapor.go.id website.

Redy emphasized that all incoming reports will be followed up quickly, and become the basis for ongoing improvements, both in the management of SPPG, determination of menus, and operations of BGN work units as a whole.
