Trump Gives Missiles To Ukraine To Fight Russia, US Officials Visit Kyiv
JAKARTA - United States (US) officials visited Kyiev, Ukraine, today. The visit came after US President Donald Trump promised ammunition in the form of patriot missiles for Ukraine.
Citing Reuters, the official who visited Kyiev was the US Presidential Envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg. It is planned that Kellogg will meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Kyiev.
Based on the news website Axios, this action is inversely proportional to Trump's previous statement. In fact, Trump is expected to have worked out a new plan to give Ukraine an offensive weapon.
These steps are seen as a form of Trump's growing disappointment with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The disappointment relates to US-led efforts to secure a ceasefire in the Russian war that has lasted more than three years in Ukraine.

Zelenskiy is known to want Ukraine to have many defense capabilities to fend off intense missile and drone attacks from Russia, which controls about a fifth of Ukraine's territory.
Russia has now moved forward in eastern Ukraine and shows no sign of leaving its main war goals.
"We will send [missile] Patriots to them, which they desperately need, because Putin really surprised a lot of people. He spoke sweetly and then bombed everyone at night," Trump told reporters at Joint Base Andrews outside Washington on Sunday 13 July.
