Film Producers More Than Forever Denies Raising Stories From Lesti Kejora's Song

JAKARTA - Film More than Forever released official posters and trailers on Monday, July 14. The film produced by Golden Scene Pictures and FMM Studios is often associated by netizens with Lesti Kejora's song of the same name.

However, Producer Ary Ambiary emphasized that Lesti's song and film More than Forever have nothing to do with it.

Actually, when choosing the title of this film, many considerations until finally More Than Forever became an option. This title has nothing to do with Lesti's song, even though we know that there are songs that are adapted into films. But this film is a true story that we created from scratch," said Producer Ary Ambiary when contacted Monday, July 14.

"We want to present an infinite time and situation true love story, so it ends up being used as an option. Hopefully, the film will end up in the audience for a long time, if possible, like the title, More Than Forever," continued Ary.

More Than Forever is the direction of directors Amrul Ummami and Latisa Naraswari's duet. From the trailer, the love story of a husband and wife who eventually separated death becomes interesting.

Salim (Donny Alamsyah) has spent 14 years of her life as a single father, after the departure of his wife, Rifa (Shareefa Daanish), whom he loves wholeheartedly. He faithfully holds promises: will not remarry. But time goes on. His daughter, Nasya (Adzana Ashel), is now an adult and will soon become a mother.

Meanwhile, Salim, who is getting older, has to face loneliness and the shadow of memories. In the midst of that loneliness, Mila (Adinda Thomas) was present, a woman who unexpectedly revived the empty spaces in Salim's heart because of her attitude, so reminded Rifa. Is true love only for one person or is life always giving space for new hope?

"Hopefully, from today's trailer, we can bring the audience to get to know the characters in the film better. Even better if it can make the audience feel close to the character and sympathize because Salim is a loyal husband, and Rifa is the wife who makes her house feel like heaven, it could be near us. They could be our father, our mother, our partner, even ourselves, said the scriptwriter, Ali Ghifari

Film More Than Forever starts showing in theaters August 28, 2025. Donny Alamsyah hopes that this film can provide evidence of true love.

"We hope that whoever watches our trailer is convinced that there is a true love that is more than forever," he said.
