State Land Rental In Gili Trawangan Enters Private Bags Of ASN And Private Parties Not To The State
Head of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor's Office, Enen Saribanon, revealed allegations of corruption in the use of assets of former Gili Trawangan Indah (GTI) land covering an area of 65 hectares in Gili Trawangan, North Lombok Regency.
According to Enen, investigators named three suspects in this case. One of them is a state civil servant (ASN) with the initials MK who serves as Head of UPTD Gili Tramena. While the other two came from the private sector, each with the initials AA and IA.
"First, about them (the private sector) controlling land without a permit," said Enen when giving a statement at the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Mataram, Monday, July 14.
He explained that the control of land without a permit has provided personal benefits to the private sector as well as benefits ASN personnel.
"Yes, other people here are ASN people who receive benefits from the land lease," he said.
Enen said that the profit from the land rental should go into the regional treasury because the land is an asset belonging to the state.
However, since the cooperation contract between the NTB Provincial Government and PT GTI was terminated in 2021, the flow of funds from the use of land has actually been enjoyed by certain parties.
"It's state-owned land. It should have entered the country, but it was enjoyed by several individuals," he said.
Although he has not detailed the value of state losses, Enen ensures that losses have occurred. "Later on, it will be delivered, but it is certain (the state loss) is already there," he said.
Investigators from the NTB Prosecutor's Office have detained two of the three suspects since today. The Constitutional Court was detained at the Praya Detention Center, Central Lombok, while AA was deposited in the West Lombok Prison. Meanwhile, he has not been detained because he is currently serving a sentence in another case at the Mataram Women's Prison.
In investigating this case, the NTB Prosecutor's Office has examined 18 witnesses consisting of local residents and foreign nationals occupying land, both for residential areas and business activities.
"In addition to 18 witnesses, there are three experts, from land, criminal law, and public accountants," added Enen.
