NU Badminton Wins MLBB Campus Tournament In Southeast Asia
JAKARTA - The National University (NU) Team from the Philippines successfully won the 2025 Infinix Campus Cup (XCC) Regional Grand Final, after defeating the TDN team from Cambodia with a landslide score of 3-0 in the Mobile Legends match: Bang Bang (MLBB).
The XCC 2025 tournament is one of the largest campus esports competitions in the region, involving more than 1,000 teams from more than 400 universities in five countries: the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Myanmar.
Exceeding the tight competition from the Little Pikaa (Indonesia) team, USM Vendetta (Malaysia), and KMD (Myanmar), NU B Ways appeared dominant and secured the regional title in front of the host supporters.
NU's success proves the great potential for campus esports talent in Southeast Asia, said Jab Escutin, General Manager of the Philippine National Esports Team in his official statement.
In addition to winning trophies and the main prize of a total prize pool of US$30,000 (Rp487 million), this victory also confirmed the dominance of the Philippines in the realm of campus esports. The award was handed over directly by representatives of MOONTON Games, SIBOL, and the tournament committee.
