Cole Palmer LIKEs To Silence Critics After Victory At Club World Cup

JAKARTA - Cole Palmer talks about his satisfaction because he managed to prove critics wrong after Chelsea's 3-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the 2025 Club World Cup final, on Monday, July 14, 2025, early morning WIB.

The air temperature jumped above 85 degrees Fahrenheit (29.4 degrees Celsius) in East Rutherford, New Jersey, but the Chelsea star remained excited as he scored twice in eight minutes in the first half.

He won the Golden Ball as the best player in the tournament.

As the best player in a 4-1 win over Real Betis in the 2024/2025 UEFA Conference League final in May 2025, Palmer again showed that he was doing his best in the biggest spotlight, recording an assist for Joao Pedro in the 43rd minute.

"I love the final. It happened again. It feels amazing. Even better because everyone doubts us before the game, we know that."

"Fighting like we did, that's good," Palmer told DAZN.

Palmer crushed the PSG defense in the sensational first half, running on the right side of the pitch before scoring a beautiful goal with his left foot in the 22nd minute.

He doubled the score eight minutes later, again targeting the bottom left corner of the goal which made Chelsea fans cheer.

Champions and French champions PSG have just gone through an incredible season, but again looked overwhelmed when Palmer provided a pass to Pedro who converted into a fine shot two minutes from the end of the first half.

"Today we found a position that gave him more room to attack. Obviously Cole played very well," said Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca.
