End Of Things From Dissolution Of Worship At Home

JAKARTA - The police finally intervened and resolved the problem related to the warning about the dissolution of worship at home which went viral on social media. Both parties agreed to make peace and resolve this case amicably.

Kapolsek Cikarang AKP Somantri, said that the two parties would not continue this viral problem to legal channels. This is to avoid horizontal conflicts in society.

"It has been resolved in a friendly manner with mutual religious tolerance," Somantri told VOI, Monday, April 20.

Furthermore, Somantri asked all parties not to be provoked by wild issues in society. "The most important thing is that all problems have been resolved," he continued.

Previously, a video recording circulated showing two people protesting against religious activities at a resident's house in the Cikarang area, Bekasi. They think that the worship activities in the house do not heed the government's appeal regarding the prevention of the spread of COVID-19.

The 31-second video uploaded to the @arionsihombing Instagram account also shows two residents dispersing weekly worship activities at their home. One of them wore a sarong and white koko complete with a cap, rebuking the occupants of the house.

"It's not a matter of worship, it can't be!" said the man with the hat. In the video clip does not explain what the word "that" was conveyed by the man.

Later the police stated that the thing that was being protested by the RT head and religious leaders in the area was the crowd gathering process. Where there are misunderstandings and miscommunications related to the worship activities that are carried out.

Because according to the video uploader, worship activities at the house were only attended by family members and close relatives. Even so, some of them do not live from the same village.

"But what we really regret is that our family who are trying to participate in the government's suggestion to worship at home (the nuclear family and not inviting anyone) is still annoying. Before going to legal action, we family still give you the opportunity to apologize," said @arionsihombing.

This viral video upload was also responded to by the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil. He regretted the incident, while promising to ask the police to solve this problem in a family manner.

"I will check tonight with the local authorities. Regrettably, this should not have happened. Because worship is the right of every citizen. And it is according to the recommendation not to do it in public spaces during the COVID pandemic," wrote the @ridwankamil Instagram account.
