Sri Mulyani Reveals The Efficiency Of The 2025 State Budget, The Ministry Of Finance's Budget Is Cut To IDR 8.9 Trillion
Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati revealed that the Ministry of Finance's (Kemenkeu) budget for 2025 also experienced a cut of IDR 8.9 trillion.
This cuts were carried out as a follow-up to Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 1 of 2025 concerning Expenditure Efficiency in the implementation of the 2025 APBN and APBD.
Sri Mulyani explained that the initial budget of the Ministry of Finance in 2025, including funds from the Public Service Agency (BLU), amounted to Rp53.19 trillion and if it does not include BLU, the budget is Rp42.82 trillion, of this amount, efficiency is carried out of Rp8.9 trillion.
"In this case, the total budget of 2025 is IDR 42.8 trillion, if added by BLU, it is those that are presented to us such as Kelapa Sawit, LPDP, Elman, it all becomes IDR 53.19 trillion. From 2025 IDR 42.8 trillion, we deducted efficiency of IDR 8.9 trillion. On the same occasion, Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara said that this efficiency policy was not the first to be carried out where in the 2020 to 2024 period, the Ministry of Finance had succeeded in saving a budget of IDR 2.82 trillion.
Suahasil said that the efficiency of the 2025 budget is focused on personnel spending and office operationalization.

Suahasil conveyed that with all the implementation of this budget efficiency, macro efficiency occurred in the management of the state budget, both in the management of state expenditures and management.
