Watching Sherina's Adventure Musical, Wamenekraf Gives Appreciation: Indonesian Wealth
JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar appreciated musical performances as one of the intellectual property (IP) or intellectual property rights (HAKI) from Indonesia.
"It's very proud because this is one of the IPs from Indonesia that we all grew up with. An IP is able to survive from us being small to adulthood, continuing to produce regeneration. This is a treasure from Indonesia for me," said Wamenekraf Irene after watching Sherina's "Musical Adventure" performance, in Jakarta, Monday.
Wamenekraf Irene assessed that a performance like this was born from cross-sectoral cooperation that reflects the hexahelix collaboration between art actors, the business world, and the community. Therefore, the Ministry of Creative Economy is here to support collaboration with young people and all stakeholders.
"There is no such thing as selfish because creativity has no boundaries. There is no such thing as a sectoral ego, there is no such thing as a personal ego, which is collaboration," said Irene.
The Deputy Minister revealed that the performance, which is a stage adaptation of Mira Lesmana's legendary film "Petualan Sherina" and Elfa Secioria, has become an important part of the journey of Indonesian pop culture.
Wamenekraf Irene Umar was accompanied by the Director of Fine Arts and Arts of Dadam Mahdar while watching the musical performance. In addition to Kemenekraf officials, the Director General of Development, Utilization, and Culture Development of the Ministry of Culture Ahmad Mahendra was also present; Former Head of the IKN Authority Bambang Susantono; and the former Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Triawan Munaf.
