5,907 Institutions Prepared, Bogor Focuses On Raising The Old School Average In 2025

BOGOR Bogor Regency Government through the Education Office launched a strategic program to deal with the problem of Schoolless Children (ATS) and increase the Average Old School Rate (RRLS) in 2025.

This program will be run in 5,907 educational institutions spread across 40 sub-districts. The details include 3,030 Early Childhood Educational Institutions (PAUD), 1,899 Elementary Schools (SD), 767 Junior High Schools (SMP), and 211 Centers for Community Learning Activities (PKBM).

The Regent of Bogor, Rudy Susmanto, said that the Bogor Regency Government would prioritize improving the quality of education in the western, eastern, northern and southern regions.

"We want to improve the quality of education in all areas of Bogor Regency, not only in the city center," said Rudy.

Strategic efforts designed include increasing the capacity of education units, developing one-stop schools and open schools, utilizing equality education through PKBM, scholarship programs, and collaborating with private schools in various regions.

The Bogor Regency Education Office also made adjustments to the new student admission system (PPDB) for the 2024/2025 Academic Year. At the State Elementary School level, the capacity reached 79,698 students, and at the SMP Negeri level there were 872 study groups.

For the 2025/2026 Academic Year, a maximum capacity limit for the State Elementary School level is set at four study groups per school, with a total capacity of 107,424 students. At the State Junior High School level, a maximum of 11 groups study per school, with 40 students per class. The total capacity of this level reaches 32,440 students in 811 study groups.

In order to increase the RRLS, the Bogor Regency Government also cooperates with salafi Islamic boarding schools so that students get access to formal education services. In addition, the addition of the State Junior High School unit, as well as the provision of open junior high school services and one roof, is carried out to expand access to education to areas that are difficult to reach.

In the first week of the 2025/2026 Academic Year, all educational units in Bogor Regency will carry out an Introduction Period for the Education Unit which is friendly for new students. This activity refers to the Circular Letter of the Ministry of Education Number 10 of 2025.

The school entry time is scheduled to start at 07.00 WIB. This policy takes into account geographical conditions and traffic density, especially in areas that are industrial areas and connecting routes to Depok, Jakarta, Bekasi, and Bogor City.
