Eid Holidays, West Sumatra District Government Still Opens Tourism Objects
SUMBAR - The Government of Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra (West Sumatra) still allows the opening of all tourist objects during Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijri by adhering to health protocols.
"We are not prohibiting, all tourist objects in Tanah Datar will remain open during the Eid holiday," said the Head of Tanah Datar Tourism Division Efrison in Batusangkar, Antara reported, Wednesday, May 5.
With the opening of tourist objects, it is hoped that it will help and encourage the economic growth of the community. Moreover, continued Efrison, this is in line with the central government's program of economic recovery in the new normal.
"Right now there is an economic recovery program, with the opening of the tourist attraction it will also help the recovery. If we close it, we are sorry for the economy of our society," he said.
He emphasized that every tourist attraction that is open during the Eid holiday must implement strict health protocols, both for officers at the location and for visitors.
Each of these tourist objects will also be directly monitored by the management and joint officers of security for COVID-19.
Regarding visitor restrictions, he admits that there are no restrictions on visitors, both for local tourists and those from migrants who are already in his hometown.
"There will be no exceptions for visitors who come, both local and migrants who are already in their hometowns, but we still do strict health protocols," he said.
