Lampung Police Confirms Hoax Video Of Woman Shot In Head

JAKARTA - The Lampung Regional Police (Polda) stated that the viral video circulating with the narrative of a woman whose housewife died as a result of being robbed and shot in the head by a criminal in Bandarlampung was untrue or a hoax.

"We need to clarify that the news circulating about the victim being shot is not true," said Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Regional Police, Kombes Yuni Iswandari, in a statement in Bandarlampung, Sunday, July 13, confiscated by Antara.

He said the female victim on behalf of Mutia suffered head injuries due to a collision with asphalt when the victim fell and is currently receiving medical treatment.

"The victim is safe and has received treatment at the hospital," he said.

Kombes Yuni also asked the public not to easily believe and spread information that had not been verified, because it could cause unnecessary worries.

"We urge the public to be patient and not be provoked by news that has no clear source," he said.

He emphasized that the police will take firm action against the perpetrators in accordance with the applicable law after the investigation is complete.

"Our investigative team is currently still investigating this incident," he said

To note, viral in WhatsApp groups, there is a woman covered in blood on her head in Bandarlampung with a dead narrative shot by robbers. This incident took place on Sunday, July 13 at around 08.00 WIB, at Jalan RA Basyid, Labuhan Dalam Village, Tanjung Seneng District.
