LP3ES: 63.1 Percent Of Society Satisfied With Jokowi-Ma'ruf Performance, 55.1% Of Corruption Eradication
JAKARTA - The Institute for Economic and Social Information Education Research (LP3ES) said the survey results showed that the public was satisfied with the performance of President Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin.
"Most of the public or 63.1 percent tend to be satisfied with the performance of President Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin," said LP3ES researcher Erwan Halil in a release, as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, May 5.
The assessment of the performance of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia reaches a range of 6 on a scale of 1-10 although the respondents tend to be satisfied.
In general, the assessment of the performance of government institutions is not much different. The performance of political institutions such as political parties shows the figure of 53.3 percent and the extension of the community, namely the DPR at 55.2 percent, the DPRD with the level of public satisfaction at 59.5 percent.
The performance of the government sector regarding the improvement of economic life received an assessment of 51.1 percent, the prosecution of human rights violators at 54 percent, the eradication of corruption at 55.1 percent, and freedom of opinion of 59.2 percent.
For the survey methodology, LP3SE conducted a survey with a sample of 1,200 respondents, divided proportionally based on the number of voters (adult population) recorded in the 2019 elections.
The sample is determined by stratified random, the margin of error plus minus 2.8 percent at the 95 percent confidence level. Data collection was carried out on 8-15 April 2021 through face-to-face interviews using a structured questionnaire.
This survey, he said, has limitations because it represents large city voters nationally, the sample is less able to describe each city.
