Jo Yu Ri Denies Getting Fantastic Paid After Playing In The Squid Game Series
JAKARTA - Singer and actress Jo Yu Ri, a former member of IZ*ONE, gave a response regarding rumors about her payout for her appearance in the Netflix hit series, Squid Game.
On the episode of the MBC variety show 'Point of Omniscient Interfere' (Episode 335), Jo Yu Ri appeared as a special guest.
In this event he talked about increasing popularity to the pay he got after starring in season 2 and season 3 of Squid Game.
"My Instagram followers jumped. Before filming, I had around 1.6 million, and now it's around 7.61 million," said Jo Yu Ri as quoted by VOI from AllKPop, Sunday, July 13.
"In the past, most comments came from Korean fans, but now I see a lot of international fans too."

Then Jo Yu Ri straightened out the news of the payment he got from playing the Squid Game series. He denied that he was paid 4.2 billion KRW or equivalent to Rp49 billion.
"There is an article claiming I received 4.2 billion KRW (around Rp49 billion) just for your sake. The article specifically only mentions my name," explained Jo Yu Ri.
"That's not true at all. The actual number is far, much lower," he said.
