Desak Made Rebut Perak Di IFSC Climbing World Cup Chamonix 2025, Pencapaian Kedua Tahun Ini
JAKARTA - Indonesian rock climbing athlete Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi won a silver medal at the IFSC Climbing World Cup 2025 Asia speed at Chamonix, France, Saturday, July 12 evening local time or Sunday WIB.
In a fierce duel in the final round, Desak Made recorded a time of 6.46 seconds, but had to admit the superiority of Polish athlete Aleksandra Miroslaw, who appeared faster with a time of 6.19 seconds to secure the top position and gold medal.
"I am sad because I made a mistake in my climbing, but I am still happy because this is my second medal in two events," said Desak Made, quoted from the official IFSC website, confiscated by Antara.
Made's Desak achievement is his second medal this year after successfully securing a gold medal in the Krakow series, Poland.
However, the push step was not followed by three other Indonesian representatives in the speed discipline who had to end their journey early in the eight-finals.
Another Indonesian representative at the women's speed, Rajiah Sallsabillah, recorded a time of 7.07 seconds to lose to Polish athlete Natalia Kalucka, who won 6.72 seconds.
At the men's speed, Kiromal Katibin also had to give up his steps to stop after experiencing a slip when dealing with the Italian representative, Matteo Zurloni before touching the deadline.

Katibin recorded a time of 5.28 seconds, slower than Zurloni who made 5.24 seconds. Meanwhile, Raharjati Nursamsa died due to false in the same round against Erik Noya Cardona from Spain, according to the Indonesian Rock Climbing Federation (FPTI) records.
In the men's category of speed discipline, Samuel Watson from the United States, who defeated Rishat Khaibullin from Kazakhstan in the final.
Watson recorded a time of 4.65 seconds, very close to her own world record (4.64 seconds) she achieved in Bali.
For Lead discipline, the Indonesian men's representatives have not managed to penetrate the semifinals. Musauwir occupies the 57th position, and Muhammad Rizky Syahrafli Simatupang is in 58th position.
Meanwhile, the representative of Lead Indonesia's daughter, Sukma Lintang Cahyani, occupies the 28th position in the qualifying round, slightly outside the top 24 positions entitled to advance to the semifinals.
Furthermore, the men's and women's team disciplined Lead Indonesia will continue their struggle in the next series of IFSC Climbing World Cup 2025 in Madrid, Spain, on July 18-19 2025.
