Kiandra Ramadhipa Wins First Podium, Red And White Flying At RBRC German Series
JAKARTA - Indonesian racer Kiadra Ramadhipa successfully won his first podium at the Red Bull Rookies Cup (RBRC), after finishing second in the first race (Race 1) German series, at the Sachsenring Circuit on Saturday 12 July.
Kiandra started from position 12 in the race which started with this rain. After the start, he immediately went up to seventh and continued to improve his position.
Kiandra then took second place on lap eight, before leading the race on the next lap.
Another Indonesian rider, Veda Ega Pratama, also started well from the seventh position. Kiandra and Veda even had time to lead the 1-2 race at Lap 10 to 12.
Unfortunately, Kiandra was overtaken by Brian Rightrte on the final lap at corner 12 and had to finish second. Even so, Kiandra was very satisfied with this result, because this is Kiandra's first podium in the Rookies Cup.
"It's been a very long race. I had the lead and I just wanted to finish immediately. I've tried to do my best, and I'm trying to control myself," he said at the parc ferme, after finishing. reported on the Red Bull website via Antara on Sunday, July 13.

Kiandra also admitted that his tires were worn off in the final lap-lap, because the track dried up quickly. That's when he started to change his strategy and played it safe to reach the first podium and maximum points.
"I felt the tires were running out in the last lap, and I said to myself, 'Don't fall'. I don't care if someone overtakes, I just hold back the ego and try to finish the race," he also said.
"Thank you to Astra Honda Racing Team and all Indonesian people who have always supported me. This is for Indonesia. I will give my best for the second race tomorrow," he said.
