Employees Become ASN, KPK Chairman Firli: Thank You Government!

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri thanked the government for being given the opportunity to change status from an independent employee to a state civil servant (ASN).

He also compared the fate of KPK employees with honorary employees who have not yet been appointed as civil servants.

"Even though in this situation we really understand that our country has a very large burden, many honorary members have not been appointed as ASN, the KPK is given the opportunity to switch to ASN," Firli said in a press conference held at the KPK's Red and White House, Kuningan Persada, Jakarta. South, Wednesday, May 5.

"For that we would like to thank the government for providing opportunities and opportunities to KPK personnel," he added.

Furthermore, Firli said that the transfer of the status of KPK employees to ASN had been carefully prepared. Because, this has an impact on the implementation of legislation.

"Because in fact the KPK is the enforcer of the law," he said.

On that occasion, Firli also explained that there were 75 KPK employees who did not pass the National Insight Test (TWK) assessment, which is a requirement to see employment status.

He admitted that he did not know the names of the 75 people who failed the test. The KPK leadership only counted the total people who passed and failed when the test result document was opened.

The KPK also cannot spread names of employees carelessly. This is considered to cause a commotion. "We don't want to spread rumors," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK is working with the State Personnel Agency (BKN) to conduct an assessment of national insight for its employees. This is done as a requirement for transferring employee status from independent to state civil servant (ASN) in accordance with the mandate of the Corruption Eradication Commission Law Number 19 of 2019.

It's just that recently it was reported that a number of employees did not qualify so they were said to be fired. One of the rumors was Novel Baswedan's senior investigator.
