Rano Invites DKI Residents To Support Jakarta Development Towards Global City

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno invites residents to actively support the Jakarta development program which is currently transforming towards the city of GglobaRano inviting DKI Jakarta Residents to Support Jakarta Development Towards Globall City.

"We can build Jakarta if all parties and the community together provide support in improving the welfare of the community," said Rano while attending the 498th Anniversary of DKI Jakarta Tasyakuran event at Censory Park, Kalideres, West Jakarta, on Saturday.

He also expressed his gratitude for the support of the community, so that the 100-day work program can be completed properly, such as the river dredging program for flood management, 24-hour park opening, bleaching diplomas to preserving Betawi culture.

"I still remember the first time we worked, the first task we did was to accelerate the dredging of all rivers and lakes or reservoirs in Jakarta. If they don't get dredged immediately, the flood will definitely be bigger," said Rano.

In handling floods, Deputy Governor Rano invited all RT, RW, village head, sub-district head and mayor administrators to monitor the weather predictions of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) every day as an effort to mitigate heavy rains in Jakarta.

Not to forget, Rano also appreciated the residents of Kamal Village who have supported development programs in Jakarta, as well as the dredging of rivers in their settlements.

"Every development requires time and sacrifice. Thank God, the community supports these efforts in building a more advanced Jakarta," said Rano.
