Minister Of Finance Asks For Automated Data Exchange Systems To Optimize Taxes
Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati hopes that the Ministry of Finance can build an automated data exchange system to optimize state revenues, especially from taxes.
"In the future, I hope that the Ministry of Finance can build an automated and regular data exchange system. This is a breakthrough in creating a tax ecosystem that is predictable, fair, and accountable," Sri Mulyani said on Instagram @smindrawati, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, July 12.
He and the Ministry of Finance held a Joint Coordination Meeting for Acceptance to build mechanisms and institutional capacity, so that they could work more integrated and reliable, especially in order to optimize state revenues.
Sri Mulyani expressed her appreciation for the progress of the Ministry of Finance that has been achieved, such as the exchange of data that has become more fluid, coordination to be stronger, and more solid data integrity.
According to him, this progress is a good foundation in building a new, more credible way of working and providing certainty to taxpayers.
"My hope is really great, hopefully this impressive variety of progress will continue and have a positive impact on optimizing quality state revenues," he said.
As previously reported, Sri Mulyani will pursue tax revenues of Rp1,409 trillion in the second semester of 2025.
This year's tax revenue is projected to be corrected from the initial target, which is IDR 2,387.3 trillion from IDR 2,490.9 trillion.
With the realization of tax revenues worth IDR 978.3 trillion in the first semester, Sri Mulyani needs to pursue the remaining target of IDR 1,409 trillion in the next six months.
Similar to tax revenues, the outlook for non-tax state revenues (PNBP) also experienced a correction from the initial target, which was to Rp477.2 trillion from Rp513.6 trillion.
With the realization of Rp222.9 trillion in the first semester, the Ministry of Finance needs to pursue the remaining PNBP target of Rp254.4 trillion in the second semester.
Thus, the outlook for state revenue as a whole is estimated at IDR 2,865.5 trillion, correcting from the initial target of IDR 33,0005.1 trillion. The Ministry of Finance has homework to pursue the state revenue target of IDR 1,663.7 trillion in the second semester of 2025.
