EV Battery Project 'Continues' Even Though IBC President Director Is A Suspect In Pertamina Corruption Case

JAKARTA - Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi ensured that the integrated battery ecosystem project would continue and not be affected after Indonesia Battery Corporation (IBC) President Director Toto Nugroho was named a suspect in the corruption case of crude oil governance and refinery products at PT Pertamina Persero Sub Holding-KKKS for the 2018-2023 period.

"Continue, it has nothing to do with it," said Prasetyo, Friday, July 11.

He explained that law enforcement with an investment plan has no relationship so that this giant project will continue.

Prasetyo emphasized that this is also one of the government's goals to eradicate corruption

"We want to reduce corruption, we are grateful that we want to eradicate corruption, that's it. We will continue to carry it out," he said.

Previously, the IBC stated that the ongoing legal process was not a case or legal incident that occurred within PT IBC so that it did not affect the company's business process.

"The legal process does not affect IBC's business activities and IBC's business activities will continue as usual," said Indira Rawiyakhirty, Head of Corporate Secretary, Friday, July 11.

He ensured that in carrying out his business activities, IBC is committed to always prioritizing good corporate governance principles or Good Corporate Governance (IBC) and referring to the provisions of the applicable laws and regulations.
