PBSI Holds Simulation With Russia Preparation For BAJC 2025

JAKARTA The Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) held a team number simulation against Russia in preparation for the 2025 Badminton Asia Junior Championship (BAJC).

The tournament is scheduled to take place on July 18-22 2025 at GOR Manahan, Solo, Central Java. PBSI also held two simulation sessions against Russia at the Cipayung National Training Center.

Head of the PBSI Development and Achievement Division, Eng Hian, said that this was a good opportunity to test the team's readiness for this important event.

"This is a pretty good thing, especially for athletes to feel the atmosphere directly with the point system that will be used later. Hopefully this simulation will make them even more prepared," said Eng Hian.

The points system used in the 2025 Asian Junior Badminton Championships is a relay that was previously used at the 2024 Junior World Championships in China.

Only five athletes in the BAJC 2025 squad have experienced this point system at the 2024 Junior World Championships. They are Mohammad Zaki Ubaidillah, Richie Duta Richardo, Kavitha Nadjwa Aulia, Riska Anggraini, and Rinjani Kwinnara Nastine.

"This is a new experience for many athletes, but from day to day they have been able to adapt better. I hope what they have got here will be carried away," said Eng Hian.

Indonesia has deployed a total of 20 players to this event. The players are a combination of players from the PBSI National Training Center and several clubs.

Badminton Asia Junior Championship will be divided into two categories, each team category on 18-22 July 2025 and individual categories on 23-27 July 2025.
