Minister Of State Secretary: Potentially Detected Residents Of Online Gambling Deleted From Social Assistance Recipient Data
JAKARTA - Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi said data on social assistance recipients (bansos) who were detected as carrying out online gambling activities (judol) could be crossed out from the list of beneficiaries.
Prasetyo said this was possible because the government currently has an integrated and detailed data system.
"Very well. Very well. Because our data is now by name, by address. So it was caught by A the B, who is it, the account number," he said at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Friday, July 11, which was confiscated by Antara.
Prasetyo explained that in the distribution of social assistance, the Government utilizes the National Sole Social Economic Data (SEN).
The data unification aims to improve so that the beneficiaries of government programs are really right on target.
Prasetyo emphasized that the evaluation of social assistance recipients who were detected using their funds for online gambling activities would continue.
"In relation to our friends or relatives whose social materials were detected, it is suspected that they were used to carry out online gambling, of course we will evaluate them," he said.
"Well, this detection is used for online gambling activities, so we consider removing it from recipients of social assistance," he added.
Prasetyo further added that President Prabowo Subianto had emphasized the importance of data tidiness so that government programs could be accepted by people who really had the right.
Through the data unification process, the government also found that there were still a number of social assistance recipients who were economically qualified, but still received assistance.

Prasetyo said that the social assistance problem used for online gambling was only one aspect of a wider data arrangement. Since the beginning of President Prabowo's administration, the Government has committed to eradicating online gambling, drug abuse, smuggling, and corrupt practices.
"And you can pay attention not to it as an increase in achievement, no, but to law enforcement events against criminal acts of corruption, brothers and sisters can pay attention to that we continue to do to anyone," he concluded.
Previously, the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) found 571,410 population identification numbers (NIK) registered as recipients of social assistance (bansos), involved as online gambling players (judol) throughout 2024.
Total online gambling deposits from 571,410 NIK recipients of social assistance during 2024 reached Rp957 billion with 7.5 million transactions.
According to the Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, the government will revoke the provision of social assistance for social assistance recipients who are proven to use it to play judol.
