President Director Of Pertamina Corruption Case Suspects, IBC Makes Sure It Doesn't Affect Company Business

JAKARTA - President Director of Indonesia Battery Corporation (IBC) since 2021, Toto Nugroho has become one of 9 new suspects in the corruption case of crude oil governance and refinery products at PT Pertamina Persero Sub Holding-KKKS for the 2018-2023 period.

Responding to Toto's determination as a suspect, IBC stated that the ongoing legal process was not a case or legal incident that occurred within PT IBI.

"Thus, the legal process does not affect IBC's business activities and IBC's business activities will continue as usual," said Indira Rawiyakhirty, Head of Corporate Secretary, Friday, July 11.

He ensured that if in carrying out his business activities, IBC is committed to always prioritizing good corporate governance principles or Good Corporate Governance (IBC) and referring to the provisions of the applicable laws and regulations.

"PT IBI fully respects and submits the legal process for this case at the Attorney General's Office," he said.

For information, IBC is a joint venture between state-owned companies to build an electric vehicle battery ecosystem in Indonesia. IBC shares consist of PT Pertamina (Persero), PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum (Inalum), and PT PLN (Persero) with share orders of 25 percent each.
