Install A Trap Camera, BBTNBBS Endus The Existence Of A West Lampung People's Mangsa Tiger

The Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park (BBTNBBS) Lampung is conducting a search for tiger movements that prey on a resident in Pemangku Kali Pasir, Pekon (Village) Sukabumi, Batu Brak District, West Lampung Regency.

Head of the TNBBS Center, Hifzon Zawahiri, said that until now his party had monitored and installed camera traps at the location where the victim's body was found.

"As a follow-up step, the BBTNBBS team will install camera traps around the scene to monitor animal movements and evaluate potential further conflicts," Hifzon said in a statement in West Lampung, Friday, July 11, which was confiscated by Antara.

For this incident, he appealed to residents in the West Lampung Regency area to remain vigilant if they carry out activities outside the home, because tigers that prey on a resident are still roaming the area.

"BBTNBBS also urges the public to increase vigilance, not to do activities alone in gardens that are directly adjacent to forest areas, and report immediately if they see signs of the existence of protected wildlife around settlements," he said.

For information, previously a resident at Pemangku Kali Pasir, Pekon Sukabumi, Batu Brak District, West Lampung Regency, died allegedly being eaten by a Sumatran tiger while gardening.

The incident occurred on Thursday, July 10 afternoon, and happened to a man named Misni (62), a resident of Pemalang, Central Java who was gardening in a protected forest area.
