General Manager of Geopark Rinjani, Qwadru P Wicaksono said Mount Rinjani is not only a symbol of NTB's natural beauty, but also part of the world's geological heritage that UNESCO recognizes as Global Geopark.

"As the manager of the Rinjani Geopark area, we emphasize that visitor safety is a top priority. We continue to strive to ensure that the information, education, and risk mitigation systems in this area run comprehensively," he said in Mataram, Friday, July 11, quoted by Antara.

He said this event was an important reflection for all parties to strengthen synergies in the management of destinations, especially in the aspects of disaster security and preparedness on the hiking trail.

"Together with the Gunung Rinjani National Park Center (BTNGR), we are evaluating and drafting steps to strengthen the safety SOP and early warning system in vulnerable zones," he said.

Qwadru invites all people of NTB and the world to continue to pray for the evacuation process to run smoothly and bring the best results for the safety of victims.

"Geopark Rinjani will continue to be committed to maintaining harmony between nature, culture and safety," said Qwadru.
