Amazon Web Services Introduces Three New Services To Strengthen Cybersecurity
JAKARTA Amazon Web Services (AWS) launched three of its newest security services at the AWS re: Inforce annual conference. This service is presented to strengthen digital security.
Currently, cyber threats are increasingly sophisticated, especially in the midst of a generalized adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The higher demand for AI adoption, the higher the risk of cyber attacks. Therefore, AWS launched tools to deal with these threats.
There are three services that the company launched, including AWS Security Hub, AWS Shield, and Amazon GuardDuty with different functions. The following is an explanation of each of its services including how it works.
AWS Security Hub: Control Center For Active Threat Detection
The AWS model is designed as an integrated control center that can help customers identify the most pressing threats in the systems they run. The service connects all the security signals and vulnerabilities of the cloud system.
With this approach, the security team in a company no longer needs to move between plates because everything is available in one place. Currently, the Security Hub is only available in preview versions for all AWS customers.

AWS Shield: Maintaining The Online System From Proactive Attacks
AWS has strengthened Shield services with the ability to analyze configuration errors and network vulnerabilities. This capability can work automatically.
This system can identify potential and risk of general attacks such as SQL and DDoS injections, attacks that seek to cripple the service through large numbers of fake traffic. The interactive dashboard will show severity in each of its issues and provide guidance to solve it.
Amazon GuardDuty: Advanced Threat Detection In Container-Based Apps
Amazon GuardDuty gained new capabilities, namely detecting threats in container-based applications running on Amazon Elastic Cubenetes Service (EKS). This capability is developed by combining audit logs, runtime behavior, and other AWS activities.
GuardDuty is able to recognize the multi-stage attack pattern that conventional surveillance systems often miss. Through this approach, the security team can save investigative time and focus more on dealing with real threats that have a direct impact.
